Monsignor Kieron Kennedy, Episcopal Vicar for Family and Social Affairs for the diocese, was appointed Parish Priest of the Parish of Freshford in October 2018. Dublin born, he studied for the priesthood in Rome, where he was director of the Irish Holy Year Office after ordination in 1975.Since then he has lived in London and St. Canice's Parish, Kilkenny. Before taking up his appointment in the Parish of Freshford he had been president of St. Kieran's College and the Administrator in St. Mary's Cathedral with Bishop Seamus Freeman.
